Ciro Pizza Cafe was established in 1997 by Ciro Pappalardo and his financing partner and brother-in-law, John Piscopo. Ciro worked in the restaurant business since immigrating to the United States from Naples, Italy in 1962. John, a third generation Staten Islander, transitioned himself from a 16 year career on Wall Street to a full time operator at Ciro’s. Ciro’s brothers had established Joe & Pat's Pizzeria, today considered one of Staten Island's most renowned pizzerias. Ciro learned the value of preparing food with the finest and freshest ingredients, enabling him to establish a loyal following of customers at Ciro Pizza Cafe. Ciro and John have since partnered with Ciro's brother Genarro and Ciro's son Casey to open a new JOE AND PATS in Manhattan loctated at 168 1st Ave and at www.joeandpatsnyc.com.
